SC has developed preliminary plans for 2021, which are contingent on the sanitary and safety conditions.
We are coming to the end of a difficult year, one in whichWe are coming to the end of a difficult year, one in whichwe have all had our setbacks and successes, but overallhas strengthened us as a Community.
I would like to give you general information about ourI would like to give you general information about ourinitial working plan for next year (2021), with the hopethat the health and safety conditions will allow us to carryit out.For this planning we have taken into account the following:
Some important aspects of this plan are:
School start date for students: Thursday, March 4
Uniform: Regular or Physical Education or Sports(March and April)
School Day: Considering the new ministerial regulations, we are preparing to work everyday with
Academic Area: The Evaluation and Promotion Regulation (REP) will apply to the current situationin March 2021 and be informed to you at a later date. It is important to point out that theMINEDUC has established that the 2021 school year will be a year of transition with a prioritizedcurriculum, but in which all subjects will be carried out with their respective evaluations.
Individual Electronic Devices: The uncertainty that we are going to face in 2021 leads us tocontinue with a blended learning process, which makes it necessary for students from 5th-12thgrade to ideally have their own devices in the school (personal chromebooks are a good option, due to their low cost and high utility).
Recesses: These will take place in assigned areas and under the conditions included in the updatedprotocols, which students must respect.
Lunches: Students can bring their lunch or use the services of ARAMARK, a company with which anew lunch format is being defined that will comply with current regulations. In addition, a largerspace will be enabled so that students maintain the necessary distance. In both cases, studentsmust follow the protocols defined by the school.
Students with health problems: Given that attendance to face-to-face classes will be mandatory, students with health problems that prevent them from attending must send the medical certificateof the treating specialist in March to the email: email@example.com, specifying thecondition of the student and how long he/she will be absent from class.
Protocols: These will be updated on our website as necessary. When we return to classes we willcontinue to be very strict in our supervision and compliance with the protocols, since by takingcare of ourselves we are taking care of everyone around us.
For this reason the 3 M – 3 W will continue to be the pillar of our security measures:
Manos limpias – Mascarilla puesta – Mantener distancia
Wash your hands – Wear your mask – Watch your distance
More detailed information and updated protocols will be shared in future communications.
A warm greeting to each of you and your children, with my best wishes for the end of the yearcelebrations.
