
Mr. Alan Lorenzini, the new Associate Head of Santiago College, was warmly welcomed when he arrived at the school today to get to know the administrative and academic work, together with Ms. Lorna Prado, who will continue as headmistress until December of this year. After that, he will take over as Director of Santiago College in 2025.
Mr. Lorenzini was officially received at a breakfast meeting by Claudia Torres Barrenechea, President of Santiago College Board of Directors; Carmen Figueroa, Alumni representative on the Board; and Lorna Prado Scott, headmistress of Santiago College. During the meeting, they addressed issues such as the formation of Boards, Parent Association and other constituents of the Santiago College Educational Foundation (FESC).
Mr. Alan Lorenzini, of British origin, has a solid academic background, being a Bachelor of Education from Nene College, University of Leicester, UK, and Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from the College of New Jersey, USA. His experience as an educator considers several countries, including the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Venezuela and China.
In addition, he has held leadership roles in international schools in Germany, Tanganyika, Bali and most recently in the Netherlands, leading a school with over 2,000 students. His knowledge of the IB Curriculum and his dedication to community service, including supporting families in crisis and war refugees, make him a great leader for our dear Santiago College.
