Our 5th grade students Mateo Vargas and Rafael Álvarez, represented Chile in the Gothia Cup World Cup as part of the U-11 team that won the 7th place.
An important achievement, as part of an enriching experience, lived our students Mateo Vargas Manquilef and Rafael Álvarez Álvarez, both from 5th grade B, in the Gothia Cup 2024 soccer world cup, in Gothenburg, Sweden. The SC athletes were part of the U11 national team, which won the 7th place.
Mateo was captain and scorer of the Chilean team with five goals, while Rafael, standed out as one of the playmakers. The Chilean national team in this category advanced to quarterfinals, where it was eliminated by Germany.
A total of 1911 teams from 72 countries participated in this sporting event and 21,296 goals were scored in the 4,820 matches played. Three teams represented Chile, from the Rocco, Sport Madrid academies and Corporación de Mujeres Futbolistas, respectively.
