This year, Physical Education focuses on the holistic development of students. Teachers implement programs designed to promote physical and mental health, as well as teamwork and discipline.
In physical education and health, we adhere to the requirements established in the IB programs, while also complying with the guidelines of the Ministry of Education.
Our approach focuses on developing skills and promoting the attributes of the IB profile.

The purpose is to go beyond conventional physical activity, using movement as a vehicle to explore and develop cognitive, emotional, and social skills, from the earliest stages of motor development in young children to the most complex athletic challenges for older students.
At Santiago College, we integrate and live our community values. We not only participate in physical activity but also develop skills such as critical thinking, effective communication, and reflection through our physical and sporting activities. Furthermore, we reinforce our community’s code of conduct, where RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY, and SAFETY contribute to our holistic growth.
The goal is to provide each student with the tools and experiences necessary to develop an active and healthy life, both inside and outside the school environment. Through innovative programs, inclusive sporting events, and interdisciplinary collaborations, we hope not only to strengthen physical skills but also to cultivate a sense of community and a commitment to holistic well-being.
Efforts are centered on adapting classes to the individual needs of students, fostering an inclusive and motivating environment, always within the framework of the Ministry of Education and the IB programs.
