Performing Arts

The stage is a space for discovery. In Drama, every student finds their voice, develops their expressiveness and builds their confidence.

From the early years, through play and exploration, to more advanced levels where they take on roles as creators, actors or directors, we foster a holistic experience that combines creativity, collaboration and critical thinking.

Theatre thus becomes a powerful tool for understanding the world, connecting with others and expressing ideas with meaning and depth.

MUSICALS

Our school takes pride in the high standard of its musical productions, in both English and Spanish, which reflect the talent, dedication and passion of our pupils and teachers. Every production in our Theatre is a spectacular show, where the acting is combined with a beautiful choir that fills the stage with emotion and energy.

Live music, featuring violins and other instruments, accompanies every scene, creating a magical and immersive atmosphere that captivates the entire audience. The costumes, carefully designed and crafted, add authenticity and colour to each character, transporting the audience to different eras and places.

The high standard of production not only enriches the artistic experience but also fosters values such as discipline, creativity and teamwork in our students. The coordination between actors, musicians and technical staff demonstrates the commitment and passion we put into every production.

Every performance is a special moment that reflects collective effort and a love for the performing arts, making our English-language musicals truly memorable and magical.

At Santiago College, drama forms part of the curriculum from Year 5 onwards, although extracurricular workshops begin as early as Year 3, always with the aim of supporting cognitive, psychomotor and emotional development.
