A group of Middle School students are voluntary working to contribute to promoting a positive climate of wellbeing, which involves different actions.
The creation of a team made up of students who help to promote healthy and positive coexistence among their peers is an initiative launched by the new Wellbeing area. Around 30 Middle School students form the Wellbeing Patrol, whose objectives include helping to resolve minor conflicts that may arise among their MS classmates and providing company to those who need it during breaks and lunches.
As a way of preparing themselves to take on this important responsibility, they attended a workshop on school mediation, given by Jesús Alonso, Secondary Wellbeing Coordinator, and received their accreditations as members of the patrol.
The idea is to add other roles over time, such as helping with the drop-off on arrival at school, and to carry out interventions-demonstrations in other schools with the intention of generating a more peaceful and closer sense of coexistence throughout SC. “In addition, we intend to create a mediation mailbox, where those who need help in resolving interpersonal conflicts can do so. We have many ideas, but we will go little by little,” explains Jesús Alonso.
