{"id":10571,"date":"2020-09-27T22:31:58","date_gmt":"2020-09-28T01:31:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/scollege.cl\/biblioteca\/"},"modified":"2025-11-05T11:04:06","modified_gmt":"2025-11-05T14:04:06","slug":"library","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.scollege.cl\/en\/library\/","title":{"rendered":"Library"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">The Santiago College Library is based on three pillars:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Reading Motivation<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Development of info-literacy skills<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Cultural promotion<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our library collection, both printed and digital, is made up of about 30,000 volumes (of which half are in English).<\/p>\n<p>We also have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><strong>Subscriptions to specialized magazines, national newspapers and digital academic databases.<\/strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><strong>An audiovisual collection and a playroom.<\/strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><strong>An online catalog with our physical and audiovisual collection.<\/strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, we carry out activities aimed at the school community, such as the celebration of book week, talks, reading clubs, information literacy workshops, reading for pleasure programs and comprehensive support in academic honesty and info-literacy for the projects associated with the International Baccalaureate in our school: Exhibition in the Primary Years Program (PYP), Personal Project in the Middle Years Program (MYP) and Extended Essay in the Diploma Program (DP), among other activities.<\/p>\n<p>To provide adequate support, the Library has three spaces, differentiated by age and objectives.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scollege.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/LB-Issue-65-september_compressed.pdf\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-67772\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scollege.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/library-bulletin.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"416\" height=\"566\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Santiago College Library is based on three pillars: Reading Motivation Development of info-literacy skills Cultural promotion Our library collection, both printed and digital, is made up of about 30,000 volumes (of which half are in English).
