- The Social Action Program in Santiago College is an essential part of the school characteristics and intends to develop committed people who are informed of and involved in the different social realities and ways of life in our country and the world. This program looks for developing in our students sensitivity regarding community needs, abilities to respond thereto closely and efficiently, and the will and strength to be agents of change when the opportunities so require. The Social Action Program emphasizes the mutual benefits for those who give and receive. In other words, it allows our students to make their creativity, their talents, their time and their work available for the most needed and, in turn, enrich themselves by sharing and learning from other experiences and living closely with those who have totally different life styles.Ultimately, the main focus of the Social Action Program is to make our students feel the intrinsic need for helping others, at all times and in all fields of life.
“Training even a child with social interest is a success. This for us means mission accomplished”
