“The Circus of Life” was the theme that won the Schools Days competition last Friday, represented by the Green House. Congratulations to all those who worked hard in this celebration, as their effort and dedication could be seen in the excellent organization, the originality of the concepts dealt with by each House, the costumes, the talent show and each competition.
The School Days are an old tradition intended to unite our school and remember those who have formed the history of SC. This is why all of the members of our community: students, teachers, auxiliary and administrative staff belong to a House represented by colors and by an outstanding member who took an important part in the development of Santiago College: Red House, Ira La Fetra; Yellow House, Miss Swaney; Green House, Miss Mason, and Blue House, Bishop William Taylor. The House colors belong to each person throughout his/her school life and can be passed on from generation to generation; that is, if one of the parents is a former student of the School, then their child will belong to the same House. If both parents are former SC students, they can choose the color they would like for their child.
We hope that future generations will continue to show the same enthusiasm as we have seen until now, so that this celebration can keep the school spirit alive for many more decades.
