Santiago College has a Lost and Found team that helps us to classify and give out misplaced clothing so they can be returned to their owners. This work is done by a group of volunteer mothers.
The opening hours are as follows:
Monday | 3:00 to 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday | 2:00 to 3:30 p.m.
Friday | 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. |
Lost and Found Procedure
In trying to prevent these items from getting lost, we recommend that all these : bags, lunch boxes, sports equipment as well as clothes are properly labeled with the student’s name and last name, from PK to 12th grade. The latter will allow us to return each object to its owner.
All unlabeled clothes put away in the Lost and Found and unclaimed, will be sold to parents and students at a predetermined cost. Each person can buy a maximum of 4 items. Those interested in buying unlabeled clothes must pay in cash or check, as clothing will not be saved for further dates.
The money collected by Lost & Found is delivered to the Community and Service Department; in the last years it has been donated to the Program “Un Techo para Chile”.
Likewise, unclaimed street clothes will also be sent to Community and Service and later distributed among poor people here in Santiago and in other regions of the country. Considering the above, we stress on the need to label all personal clothing and items.
