Diploma Program (DP)

Active learning attitude

The International Baccalaureate Diploma and Certificate Program was adopted by Santiago College in 1981 and is currently supervised by Guillermo Duff. It is a rigorous pre-university course of study that culminates in a series of examinations. The program is designed to meet the needs of highly motivated secondary school students between the ages of 16 and 19.

Although our 11th and 12th Graders may decide not to pursue the IB Diploma, the entire Santiago College high school curriculum is based on the IB Program. As such, all students benefit from this excellent global curriculum.

The diploma model is designed as a comprehensive two-year program that allows graduates to meet the requirements of various national education systems. Rather than following the pattern of any one country, it incorporates the best elements of several. The program is conducted in English and Spanish.
