We understand emergency to be a fortuitous situation that puts the imminent physical and psychological integrity of the people in a facility at risk, which requires the competence of organized and timely institutional response in order to minimize potential harm.
This Emergency Operation Manual has been prepared with the purpose of responding in a successful way to an emergency situation, which is in perfect accordance with the Integral School Emergency Plan, complying with the Exempt Resolution No. 51 of the Ministry of Public Education, from January 4, 2001 and published in the Official Journal on February 9, 2001, which modified Memorandum N° 782/79 from the Ministry of Education; indicating that all school facilities in the country must be prepared to face emergency situations.
Ensure that our community is prepared to cope and deal with emergencies that might arise in the establishment in an optimal manner, them being produced by nature or by man.
This planning hopes to address the safety and protection issues effectively for all the members of the school community, in an easy and brief manner when faced with an emergency situation.
This manual is directed to all the people that make part in the Santiago College School community; being Students, Parents, Teachers, Administrative and Janitorial Staff members.
Below you will find a detail of the procedures to follow in the different types of emergencies that may occur within the school facilities.
